Have you ever been successful in back ordering a domain?

Did you pay a high amount for the domain when you were informed that it was available to be registered?

I have tried back ordering domain through godaddy but fail and loss $57 for that :(

DON.

I have successfully acquired domains through the back order process. The trick is to register with several back order company such as snap, enom and pool.

That way you stand a better chance of landing the domain and only pay if one of them snag it.

Go daddy is very poor for back orders, they lose out most of the time.

Thanks

So is there a charge whether or not you aquire the domain? as Don posted he paid $57 even though he never aquired the domain

I've never been charged unless they snag the domain. I've never heard of any back order company charging unless they snag the domain to be honest.

Then again, it is SlowDaddy were talking about.

Of course, we too have successfully registered many domains through backorder process. Its a great way to make sure the domain is only yours when it gets expire.
