Worst job you ever had?

While its a hard choice, I had a fencing job where I just carried buckets of concrete all day, I only lasted 1 week before I said screw it.

Worst job I ever had was working as a stage hand out here in Las Vegas. There are countless conventions and shows that go on every day of the week and at all times of night, so there would be a lot of crazy hours and stupid work.

The worst job I think I did there was an install of Plexiglass Steel Stage Decks in a pool at a club (The Marquee pool at the Cosmo), every weekend for about 3 months. This was for the DJ Kaskade. (Half of that time the weather was less than nice, COLD). Every Saturday the stage needed to be installed by 7PM (I'll mention that we usually worked an 8 hour shift before we did this, so we already had a full days work under our belts) and it needed to be removed by 6AM the next day.

Affiliate Marketing is much more my style :p

Man that is brutal! I had a job similar but not as bad we would install fire systems in kitchen hoods, dirty work. On more then one occasion we had to do start to finish so it was like 20+ hours straight with your head in the hood or on top with the cockroaches.

On that same job regular day, you would start at 4-5am go do kitchen service in all the grease, you'd be covered when your done. Then you go to offices and businesses about 9am and work on Powder fire extinguishers. You were covered in grease so the powder sticks everywhere. Then at 4-5pm you go back to the office they are like "why you so dirty", I always wanted to say cause it's a crappy job.

Wow! Sounds like a dirty job. I would get so dirty doing Stage hand work too, because on our off time we would work in the Rental Warehouse preparing orders and doing inventory. We had 78 Steel Decks above a pool at the Marquee one time and it stayed in place for over 2 months. Aside from having to take the decks up an elevator (4 decks at a time) to the pool and install everything, when they got back to the warehouse they were disgusting. Mold, various spilled drinks, probably puke.... all over the decks. And guess who had to clean them? WE DID !

I ended up getting sick and taking off the next day after spending 8 solid hours cleaning decks. They smelled like a trash yard full of empty beer bottles and alcohol. It was disgusting and I'll never bring myself to do that kind of work again. Haha !

Let's hear some more stories.

Sweatshop selling fake stock. Everyone, well most everyone was on coke.. Everyone was an animal. The funny thing? I'm a pretty aggressive guy. This place was beyond a zoo. It was dangerous.

Selling fake stock? How does that work out?

Man that sucks. I worked in a bar and there is nothing worse then rotten beer. But That was an ok job for the most part.

Here is a Funny story About a Job or ending of one! Jay is sure to like it. I worked at a powder coating warehouse, filled orders and stuff. We had a small set up in the warehouse. It was back in my Pot days. I found this really cool black and gold textured color, I thought man this would be so cool on my piece. So I got my pipe out powder coated it and put it in the oven(yep) to set the powder coat. It had enough resin to get the whole warehouse complex stoned. I didn't get busted but I didn't have a job anymore. But hey I had a really cool pipe as a memento.

Anything in a cubicle - forget communication improvements - it is just about saving rent of floor space! We fight for battery chicken rights while we watch our colleagues floss their teeth and share their viruses just inches away!

My former job in construction doing drywall for my Dad's company. I feel happy since I quit last April. I should of left a long time ago, but I suck it up. It was just killing me, and feeling depressed. No energy after work and waking up at 5a. Also my Dad somedays hes fine and next day an asshole, mean. Nah, I've had it.

Direct Sales Specialist. Selling TV and internet connection services, going to random people's houses and knocking at door, trying to sell stuff. At some points it was fun, kinda, but for an 18-year old girl a bit scary it was.

Cashier at Walmart when I was in college.

Drunk Manager came through my till and I never asked him if he had a Walmart Mastercard so they almost fired me. Go figure the easiest job I have ever done was the one I almost lost. Strange world.
