Where do you get pictures for website?

I am building a website that I am going to use to promote CPA offers.
I want to put pictures on it, as they make it more appealing, but I
do not have pictures of my own to use.

I do not want to violate any copyright laws - so I am wondering where
can I get these pictures?

Am I going to have to buy them somewhere? If so, where is a good place?

I've seen people recommend morguefile and sxc.hu in the past.

Was wondering if anyone has used these and had any problems.

I noticed in the terms for sxc.hu it says they are free to use but then says always ask the photographer for permission.

Just google " stock pictures" you will find too many places to buy pictures if whatever you want, if you don't want to spend some $$ just put their copyright/link to tell them under picture and you will be fine.

Pictures are not that hard to find and I never heard of any one getting slapped for it.

Good deal. I guess that I do not have to worry about this so much.
I just didn't want to do the work to get a site set up and then have it taken
down because I was using some photo that I did not have approval to use.
Anyone ever heard of that happening?

Just do a websearch for public use royality free photo's. Usually you can find lots of pictures that don't have huge coyright notices splashed across bottoms of pictures. Free to use.

You can also do a search for public domain pictures. They should also work for you as well.
