    IMPRESSIONS- An URL(It can be site link or webpage link) records an impression when it appears in a search result for a user. The URL records an impression ,when the user opens (After entering the query) the page containing this result.

    CLICKS- For most result types, any click that redirects the user to a page outside of Google Search is counted as a click, and clicking a link that stays inside search results is not counted as a click.

    When your ad banner or lander loads and displays in front of a user, that is one impression or now also calls Hits or View for lander. ... Well, you can't have clicks without impressions. Users need to see your ads or lander before they can decide whether or not to click them. This is typically referred to as CPM, or Cost Per Mille, where Mille means thousand (1k).

    impression is simply the number of times your ad, whether it’s a banner, button, or text link, has been (or will be) exposed to a potential viewer.
    A click-through is the actual number of times someone has taken their cursor, placed it on your advertising image and used their mouse to click on that image and be taken to your website.

    The impression is the number of times the ad will be shown to the potential customer and
    click will define as when someone clicks on your ad Google will count this as a one click

    Click ~ What you take an action of click to visit a link.
    There are many cases people view, but no click.

    If you are referring to web adverts, logically, when your add is triggered to "show" and it's visible - that's an "impression" statistic. When someone clicks on your add - that's obviously a "click" stat.

    Impressions are basically the views. The number of impressions means the number of times your post has been viewed.
    Whereas, Clicks are the engagement on the posts, i.e, there is some involvement with the post. You can never have clicks without impressions.
    Impressions can be more than or equal to clicks.
