What do Affiliates Expect?

Hello,

We are a premises based company but due to rising costs we are shuting up shop and moving online.

As part of the website we want to offer an affiliates section, as we are new to the world of affiliates we want to know what we should offering to potential affiliates (commission or a lead fee)

If you think commission is the best form of payment what are the average commission charges?

There are as many answers to that question as there are affiliate programs, it really varies.

Computers can pay as low as 2% homegoods and luggage 8 - 12%, ebooks as high as 75%, there are even programs that pay 100%.

So the very best thing is research your particular market. See what programs pay and the type of commission they offer (lead, sale, etc.) Then try to offer a little more than they do.
