Western Union as payment?

Has anyone used Western Union as payment?

Reason i ask is i have bought something and the seller requires this method of payment, i wondered how safe it is and what i should be carefull of?

I have used Western Union but not to buy stuff, just to send money to family or something like that.
I will not pay for a good or services with Western Union, UNLESS you have the goods already because once the money goes to the person you sent it to, that is it, you cannot get it back.

I think even western union do not seem to encorage using their service to buy things.
