Okay, I?m calling it: if you?re using guest blogging as a way to gain links in 2014, you should probably stop. Why? Because over time it?s become a more and more spammy practice, and if you?re doing a lot of guest blogging then you?re hanging out with really bad company.

Thanks for the link djbaxter I learned a lot from that post by Matt C. Never realized that is how Google felt about guest blogging coming into 2014. Google probably wants more people to use Google+ and Authorship. I wonder if guest podcasting on places would cause alarm? Lets say Youtube for instance.

That's an interesting thought, Joozed. It doesn't seem to me like it should affect anything. And, it would also be much easier to do a podcast, in my opinion, than a guest blog...no checking for spelling. I'm going to pay attention, since I've seen many more podcasts on blogs lately...maybe they'd be open to inviting a guest speaker on a subject of interest.
