Spywareblaster is a good free program

The difference with Spywareblaster is that it helps prevent adware from getting on your computer in the first place. The software is free and you can search for it on google or download.com. The only problem is that it is not 100% effective but it cut down my adware scans from 8 items found to about 1 - 2 found.
