Simple Strategy to get cheaper bids on Leadimpact

As more and more people are getting into Affiliate Marketing the competition is increasing and so are the bid prices on Leadimpact increasing. For many of the top urls the highest bid is greater than 10 cents. For payday loan sites some of the bids are even 50cents or more. I always wonder how people are able to remain profitable at such a high bid. May be their landing pages are too good or they are using fake bids. So, In order to compete with these top affiliates we need to get cheaper impressions.


Majority of affiliates only bid on the base url so we can get some real cheap clicks if we bid on domain variations and mis-spellings. For eg if i want to get traffic from the website "miraclegarciniacambogia.com" then i will also bid on the following

As it is a high ranked alexa site, we are able to get decent amount of traffic even with these domain variations. Also, when a user types one of the above by mistake we know that he is interested in buying a garcinia weight loss product and since the url is wrong he will get a page not found site and on top of that our catchy landing page will appear hence increasing our chance of conversion. This works particularly well for high ranked alexa sites (top 20,000 for the country that you are targeting) as they get a lot of traffic.


Another good thing happening here is that when we bid on miraclegarciniacambogia.co, we are also bidding on miraclegarciniacambogia.com as miraclegarciniacambogia.co appears in the url. So if your bid is high enough you will also get traffic for the base url. Although, this doesnt happen always.

As for a tool to do this, you asked this at a great time. Demissew shared a great tool in the tools section here which does just this. I checked it and it works great.
Till now, i was doing it in excel after defining the rules, but now, I will start using it as well.
