PPC can be used to inform SEO if the campaigns / adgroups etc are set up correctly.

PPC should be focus, focus, focus avoid broad match and implement negative phrases etc.

I think you need to get more specific.

In my own experiences, PPC is for instant traffics while SEO for long run organic traffics. And, PPC has not positive effects on SEO efforts.
