If so, the answer is simple - write the best, most engaging content you can. Make sure you've targeted your keywords and keyword phrases correctly and use them sensibly in your copy. Then share the link to your post/page with social networks, forum signatures, etc.
Also, make sure that you've tailored your meta description well, so people who search for your keyword and read your enticing description, want to click through to your site.
If you're offering high quality content that your target audience wants, it helps to lower your bounce rate which, as @tyoussef pointed out, is really helpful for ranking.
