Newbie alert...but ive been doing some research into creating traffic for my website and understand the concept behind it all. Ive been wondering though, is it better to create backlinks manually or use an automated system?

Its seems to me that using an automatic system would just, effectively, create a load of spam links, not good, but mive come across this Neurolinker which claims to build quality links, is this true? Has anyone tried it? And is it worth pursueing further? :p

Since the most important parts of link building are

  1. content-relevant links, both incoming and outgoing; and
  2. varying anchor text for incoming links
I would recommend staying away from automatic link schemes and utilities and doing it manually. Much better quality control, IMO.

Do it yourself at first, so you can learn to tweak any software you may use to automate this process later.

That said, Ill make your job a little easier on this end. SocialMarker.com. This is NOT an affiliate link, nor is it of a site I own. This tool will help you build links on many of the good social network sites, like Digg, del.icio.us, and propeller. It will save you a ton of time when you link your articles. From there you just need to build links on related content areas.

How do you resolve the issue of having exactly the same anchor text for all links with that service (or any other automated service)?

There's a product or service niche waiting to be filled there, for someone with some ingenuity...

Thanks

Well, thanks fotr the help there- manual it is then, by the looks of things, im just looking into social networking sites now, any others anybody could recommend other than the three already mentioned?
