Couple of things.

1) Keep an eye out for Ks Newbie 411 guide coming out shortly.

2) Have a look at a few posts on here, get yourself familiarised with POF then head over to the POF Official Support thread if you have any questions.

I too would recommend avoiding FB with this offer and heading over to POF.
