Moving posts in PHPBB

Are we talking about a POST or a thread in the wrong section?
THREAD:
To the left below the post there should be an icon that looks like a screwy arrow. click on that as it is the move post button. If it is not there, then go into your profile and switch to sub silver skin for a moment and it will be there then.
POST:
the only way to handle this is tho split the post (s) into a new thread and then move that. I have the merge threads mod installed so if there are issues I can split posts into threads, then merge them all into one
