Hello,

Just thought I would start contributing. My name is Alex and I am pretty new to the affiliate market. I am in the process of setting up my fist affiliate website (I work in web/marketing/advertising). I am thinking of starting a separate blog up to document my progress and how I am finding it. Currently putting in some serious extra hours just to get the site up and running. Hopefully it will start paying off soon.

Anyway, any tips and tricks you can give me would be mostly appreciated!

i suggest you don't start your blog now, focus at work since you have just started, that will take lot of energy and time from you.

you can document your journey in the journeys section in this forum.

i also suggest you watch the cpa tutorial i made from here.

please any questions let us know.

Thanks for that! I will take a look at that tutorial now. Ye, that pobably makes sense. I’m already putting in 30-40 hours extra on building the site and doing all my research. Hopefully that will reduce once I have finished the larger sections. I’m a bit of a workaholic so it probably won’t.

@Alex1988 , welcome to affiliatefix.

I have one advice which i normally share with most newbie or startup to find actual meaning of "Working ON and Working IN the business", the problem with solopreneur or entrepreneur is they are so close to doing things they end up completely IN and missing the earning and expanding part!!!

Best wishes on your venture.

Yes.

Personal marketing development blog? Why -- that seems an over-complication.
If you want to document your ideas/progress: use a local directory on your computer and text files or simple .html linking them. A note system you can understand is important for organizing your ideas.

use > tree /F on any powershell instance to have the same behavior the normal tree on UNIX has.
I use directories for topics --so $tree -d >topic_list.txt works for me or just $tree>org_list.txt
On LINUX; $tree -H baseHREF will create a linked list in HTML >see $man tree. There are simpler ways to document and organize -- this way you have the content base for a blog in the future done ;) you just need to edit some ...
