How to get traffic from google maps?

I think it only works if you have a physical location or can use their JavaScript to show some physical location from your website.
They do have a API that you can use point to locations.
I haven't used it before, but I'm aware of it.

You can target navigational keywords related to your nearby area and get good descriptions and reviews to gain traffic.

The more active, clear, and reliable your profile is, the higher your chances of getting impressions, calls, and clicks from maps. Collect real reviews and check that your contact information is consistent across all platforms.

Half of local traffic comes from Google Maps these days anyway. Especially if the profile is well optimized, has real reviews, and photos that aren’t from 2017. People often don’t even open the website anymore — they just call directly or build a route from Maps

A lot of people think Google Maps ranking is just about having an address.
It’s really about whether Google trusts your business entity enough to recommend it locally.
Reviews, consistency, local authority, engagement, and proximity all work together. Weak trust signals usually kill Maps visibility long before backlinks even matter.

One of the more reliable ways to drive traffic would be with methods such as SEO / Search Engine Optimization - just make sure you have the quality content for it in order to make the most gains into your platform, especially in a platform where content is the main focus such as blogging

Optimize your Google Business Profile. Pick the right category. Get recent reviews. Reply to all of them. Add fresh photos and posts weekly.

That signals activity to Google. Rank higher. Get more map views. Then clicks to your site.

Treat your profile like a social media feed. Regularly upload high-quality, real photos of your work, team, or products, and use "Google Posts" to share weekly updates, offers, or links back to your site.

One thing that helped me get more views on my map listings was adding photos, short posts, and answering every review fast. I also linked out from other platforms that already had good authority. For example, I’ve used quora backlinks seo to push some trust signals to my site, and it gave my Google Business Profile a small but noticeable lift.

Hi @finacustech How do you want monetize traffic from Google Maps? For local guides, it's very simple, but with affiliate marketing, there's a risk of having your business profile removed.
