How do you redirect article to website through press release?

There are several ways to do that, some better than others depending on what you want to do and why. The most common are either redirects at the server level using an .htaccess file or a "refresh" tag on the page itself.

It really depends on the variety of options given by your program. WordPress, MS Word and other programs give you the ability to hyperlink via commands or the ability may just lay with the interface you are on. It is not difficult, just done based on the tools provided.

My skills are limited. But I really want to learn how to redirect long product links;
Some are for products on my own site. Some are for products from other sites but I want to have http://www.mysite.com/product1, http://www.mysite.com/product2 etc. Or http://www.mysite.com/specialoffer
The only way I know how to do this is to edit my htaccess file and then input every single link and then where it is being redirected to. But it seems seems very labour intensive, and certainly lacks spontaneity if I want to create a quick link to a product in my blog.
If that is the only way, then I guess I will have to stick with it but there could be hundreds of such links over a period.
An easier way may be to create all the re-directs in a redirect file, and then just update that single file to the host. BUt I don't really know then how to call the link without getting a 404 error.
Can someone please point me in the direction of a good explanation of this?
