Welcome to 5 Star. We already have quite a few questions and some detailed answers about affiliate income tax. Here's one thread that you may want to read and then if that doesn't answer your question, you can ask in that thread or if your Q is totally different you can start a new one.

Ya, this is a great place to learn the ins and outs of affiliate marketing. For the most part, usually affiliate will require you to submit a W9 form. As for claiming income from affiliate marketing will be part of your business plan.
