Hi

Have you ever seen your website disapear from Google and then reappear again. e.g. your site ranks on page one on Google. You check one day and the site is no longer there but then reappears again after an hour

This is common, it is simply that you are viewing a different datacantre. this is why it is possible for two people sat next to each other on different computers to get different results from a google search!

Even you are always viewing from the same computer?

Its nothing to do with your computer, its to do with where Google pull the result it returns to you from.

I perform many searched throughout the day and find that with directories the results change frequently and then go back to as they were before (from the same computer).

When performing holiday searches they remain as they are!

When you go to google.com (co.uk etc), you are directed to a datacentre on a load balancing basis, there are not normally specific datatcentres for different conuntries, they are simply restricted by the paramaeter specified by the URL and manual 'results from the uk only' instructions.

So to put it simply, you could be searching from a totally different data centre. As Google updates using everflux, it means that the datacentres are constantly different.

In fairness though popping in and out on a regular basis only normally happens to new or recently changed to a great extent (new IP, change of content etc) websites.
