I've recently seen a few reports in the Google Places forum I help moderate but I didn't know the problem was this wide-spread.

Google?s head of the webspam team, Matt Cutts, announced on Twitter that they have sent out new message notifications to 20,000 web sites that are hacked.
 
Wow! This is the same as the redirect exploit that continues to plague many vBulletin forum installations. It would be interesting to know what other platforms have been hit.
 
Ouch! I didn't hear anything about that and I haven't noticed anything of mine down. Guess people need to frequenter change their passwords to enable a hard time for a hacker to get in.
