Does anyone use events?

Back in the day when I did some viral methods events was a hot way of going under the radar - does anyone maximise events these days?

When I worked in the promotional products industry, an event was usually a trade show or some other industry related gathering.

My friend do this all the time with BH stuff and Spamming stuff like shit.
They have this "Auto-Invite" Script where in when you click it, you are forced to invite friends on a certain a event.

Sounds like something that would create interest even though I still don't understand what the actual "event" on Fb is. Guess you have to have an account to understand.
