CPA Network Reacts to FTC and Cracks Down on Flogs

As I have been reporting, the <a href="http://affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com/3007/ftc-to-clamp-down-affiliates-beware.html">FTC</a> is <a href="http://affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com/2306/ftc-free-trial-diet-offers.html">cracking down</a> on <a href="http://affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com/2286/obama-for-bogus-cpa-offers.html">affiliates</a> on <a href="http://affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com/2254/race-to-the-bottom-the-future-of-the-flog.html">several levels</a>. If some affiliates don't clean up their act the government will do it for them, but in the meantime some CPA networks are doing their part to try to impose limits and police affiliates.

Following is an in-depth look at how one network, Clickbooth, is handling the situation with new stricter TOS that prohibits flogs and insists on advertising disclosure and accurate marketing copy.

Some affiliates are reportedly up in arms about the new stricter guidelines. Jonathan Volk has an interview with the CEO of Clickbooth about all the changes. Jonathan wrote: "These policy changes literally changed the affiliate marketing world as we know it and as such created quite a bit of an uproar among some of the affiliates."
