Can't generate FB ad impressions when going from Optimized CPM to CPC

I am getting high CTRs on my optimized CPM ads but when I then switch to CPC, I can't even get impressions.

My purpose with these ads is to get likes to my FB pages.

Anyways, here's the typical scenario: I run an Optimized CPM ad, get a high CTR, then swtich to CPC and bid a few cents above the minimum suggested bid (e.g., $.06 if it's $.04 - .025), and then nothing happens.

Here are the numbers from my latest Optimized CPM campaign:

Potential reach: 28,000 people
CTR: 1.95%
Campaign reach: 764
Daily budget: $25
Spent: $1.92

I have now switched it over to CPC and have not gotten one impression in hours.

Any advice?

Overall I see much better results from the Optimized campaign than the manual CPC/CPM campaigns. I suggest you keep working on your Optimized campaign and over time I expect your CPM to drop. I wrote an article all about this at:

Facebook Fan Page Ads: Optimized Bidding or Manual?

You may need to increase your CPC and wait more time to see impressions on that campaign.

From what i've learned/read - you need to take the suggested CPC bid and almost double it to begin with...let the ad get some clicks and then slowly decrease it until it starts to effect the traffic rate.
