Anyone else obsessed with documentaries?

So are there many other doco-lovers out there?

In between working on projects I love to watch a good documentary to break it up a bit.

So I thought it would be cool to start a thread where we can share some of our favourites. I'm always looking for new stuff to watch so if you've got a doco that you really love please do share it :p

Here's a few of my faves...

Vice Guide to North Korea...

A really interesting travel doco on North Korea. They sneak a whole bunch of cameras inside and get a really good look inside North Korea.

The guys that make this at Vice also make a heap of cool travel documentaries and some other good ones include the Vice Guide to the Congo, Vice Guide to Slab City and The Cult Leader Who Thinks He's Jesus (this one is crazy!).

(It will only let me post one video per post so I'm going to have to break this into multiple posts...)

The Most Hated Family in America...

A Louis Theroux documentary where he stays with a group of crazies that think that gay people are going to hell. They're well known for picketing outside of funeral processions of U.S. soldiers killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan with signs that say things like 'GOD HATES FAGS!'.

All of Louis Theroux's docos are great though. He has a way of being able to befriend anyone and is able to get them to really open up. Some other good docos of his include Louis Theroux and the Nazis and Behind Bars... honestly they're all good though so be sure to check them out if you haven't seen them.

Pretty coo idea Jay, and nice videos i will watch these - for me i LOVE documentaries on gangs and jail - i don't know why but they both fascinate me - the documentaries Ross Kemp does are incredible - ever seen them?

Yeah gang/jail documentaries are fascinating. Seen a few of the Ross Kemp stuff.

If you like Louis Theroux you should check out Behind Bars - really cool.

He's also got a really interesting one about a pedaphile jail:
