Amazon Associate account

Hi,
I currently have a personal Amazon account that I use for shopping.

As I plan to join the Amazon Associates program, I'm wondering:
  1. Is it recommended to create a separate Amazon account dedicated to affiliate marketing, or can I continue using my existing buyer account?
  2. I intend to register three different websites, each focused on a different product niche. In order to meet the requirement of three qualified sales within the first 180 days, do the sales need to come individually from each site, or can they be aggregated across all three?
Thanks for your attention.

You need to join the Amazon Associates Program. Your buyer account is for shopping—affiliate tracking and payouts funnel through Associates.

Another question.

My concern is that the Italian market might be a bit too limited to be profitable for the niche I’ve chosen to operate in.

That’s why I’m considering an international approach. With the Amazon Associates Program, I understand I need to open a separate account for each country I want to refer traffic to.
In this case, how are the 3 required sales within the first 180 days calculated? Is it counted separately for each country?

:)
