If you are reading this, I assume it's because you are familiar with affiliate datafeeds and either already use them or want to start. If, by chance you are new to the world of affiliate datafeeds however, here are a couple of articles I've written, that will lay the groundwork before we go on to the podcast I wanted to share with you today.

<strong><a href="http://www.5staraffiliateprograms.com/datafeed1.html">Datafeeds 101 - A Beginner's Primer</a>

AffPlan is a fairly new affiliate marketing podcast/blog, started by Todd Farmer, an industry veteran many of you may know. Last week his show host, Lisa Picarille interviewed Deb Carney and Eric Nagel and the topic was all about datafeeds and affiliate marketing. If you click over to the blog, at the bottom of the page they post links to all the datafeed resources they shared on the podcast.

We also discussed the benefits of datafeeds to affiliates and merchants; how hard it is to implement a datafeed; why datafeeds are not standardized (Deb would like them to be standardized. Eric took the opposing view); the challenges of dealing with them such as categories and broken links; using datafeeds as a tool for keyword generation and more.
