How do you define a super affiliate?

What are the main types of super affiliates?

What is the "Success Quotient" all super affiliates have in common???

David Naylor blogged some answers to the questions above last week in response to a tweet by ShoeMoney (below.) Not sure how I missed this interchange, must have been super busy that day. At any rate, there is some good info here for those that want to see different viewpoints and answers to the questions above. The one thing all super affiliates have in common

Dave defines the 3 primary types of super affiliates as 1) Authority portals 2) Spammers and jammers 3) High quality niche sites/networks. Then he goes on to summarize the key trait they all have in common.

I agree with Keiron and would add the PPC super affiliates as a 4th category. I would not add them to "spammers and jammers" as commenters suggested. Spammers and jammers or black hat guys tend to jump around, capitalize on what they can as long as it lasts, then jump to something else. (IMHO) Where I see successful PPC affiliates as being very methodical and stats driven - almost making a science out of the process. Not to say there are not some spamming and jamming PPC affiliates, but I just see the honest, traditional PPC affiliates in a class of their own.

This all started when ShoeMoney asked on Twitter: "How do you define a super affiliate?"
You can see a copy of all the twits, plus lots of good (as well as a few lame) comments over
at the ShoeMoney blog. What Is A Super Affiliate?
