Hi All

Going to give this a go again and hopefully be able to keep it up to date for a change.

The Goal

Create a blog in the gambling niche promoting a group of products I have used before which show you how to exploit bookies and make some cash. Would like to get it turning over $100 a day if possible selling these products

Week 1

This week the aim is to get the blog up and running, having 10 good quality blog posts written as well as a product review for the first product I'm promoting. Getting the site indexed is a must as well as getting social media profiles setup.

Will update you all in a week with progress and hopefully a bit more info

Good luck!

I imagine that there is good money to be had in that niche, so it will be well worth all that work.

Competitive niche but can't wait to see what you do - work on your social side of things as you may get some cheap clicks!

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. It's based in a competitive niche but the products I'm promoting fall into my general category of making people money online. One particular program has netted me a few 1000 in the last couple of months

A quick update from me. Have the site setup with 2 product reviews and affiliate links setup. Got 4 blog posts written and published with more following over the next couple of days.

Google + profile has now been setup just waiting for some nice graphics for the profile and cover images.

I had also forgotten to setup any traffic tracking on the site *facepalm* so that's going in now

Next Steps

- Setup Google Analytics
- Finish off Google + Profile
- Setup Facebook Page + Twitter Account
- More Blog Posts

Are you planning on installing the the fancy schmancy extra analytics? Sorry, can't remember what they call it right now, the one that breaks down demographics - interests, gender, age, etc. I thought I would but couldn't make it work, don't know if it's necessary or not if you are working a niche. You probably know your audience pretty well.

I'm guessing this will be a method or way of "cheating" the gambling site with a system? Then pushing them through a referral link and promoting a withdrawal?

I'm just going with the basics. I already know the target's I'm aiming at.

That's basically how it works. The system promotes the owners ref links which is how he makes a profit however he teaches you how to take advantage of all the promotions bookies do so turning all the welcome bonuses, reloads, bingo/casino bonuses into cash. Product I'm mainly promoting is a £27.00 one off fee which then moves to multiple £97.00/year products depending on where the customer goes and decides to do and that most customers move on to as they will already have 5 x that sat in their bank accounts from the first program.

Another Update

Seem to be on a roll with these updates.

Google + is now fully setup with profile/cover images and other things seem to be going along smoothly.

Analytic's is also configured to send me a daily update with the amount of hits to my site each day.

Lastly I have been looking into Facebook Advertising and rules regarding gambling sites to get some ad campaigns up pushing people to the reviews of the products I'm promoting. They are very picky about wordings and you need to jump through a lot of hoops but Facebook Ad support seem to be on the ball and very helpful. Will keep you posted how this progresses

Tom's Top Tip

If using Google Analytic's make sure you check out the email reports. I have it setup so that they will send a daily email of the previous 24 hours traffic on the site and every Monday morning I will get a email about the last weeks traffic in a nice graph. There are hundreads of different reports you can get them to send to you and can speed up your day nicely.

Don't know how I missed that, thanks for mentioning it. I'm going to find it in my Analytic's dashboard.

They are well hidden on any report click the Email button and go from there. See image below

09/12/2013 - Update

I have had a busy few days so haven't done too much to the site.

- Site now has a twitter profile which is slowly gaining followers
- More blog posts have been added including a new Inside xxx series of blogs promoting the main product and building up a better review of the program.

No sales yet and I'll update again shortly

Sorry, forgive my ignorance, Tom but do you mean that you have set up a series of blogs? Or they belong to others? I've never heard/read anything like that before, am interested to know more.

Sorry wasn't very clear "series of blog posts" is more what I have done so will be a 5 - 6 posts just pushing the product. I'll be pushing out each blog post every 3 days and promoting it via the sites twitter and google + accounts.

I have been in a training conference when a guy was promoting a good way to rank sites is to create say 10 different blogs on 10 keyword rich domains in the same niche and link between them all. Not sure how well it works but one of the more experienced guys may have done something similar or have more knowledge about that method.

Updates

Have been focusing on social media, backlinks over the last couple of days to start bring the site up the rankings.

Currently our twitter account has 59 followers and growing each day and out google + account isn't doing very well at all.

On top of this as work as instructed me to learn some new skills I have developed a nice little betting calculator app for andriod. The app will hopefully be launching shortly for free on the app store and contains links to the 2 products this site is focusing on as well as the blog.

So it's been a busy couple of days will update you all again shortly :)
