Took one of my blogs down by around 50% of organic traffic. Took around 200 hits per day from another one but I think this one will recover. From what I can tell, the pushed catch all style infomational articles like FAQ posts down in the SERP and pushed shorter, dedicated articles up. They also...
One site is down from about 400 organics per day down to around 100, one from 500 down to around 300 but other keywords are jumping into the top 3 of Google and traffic seems to be slowly growing again. I have another site that was dancing around the SERP but it seems to have normalized where it...
I have did a number of tests over the years and never seen a point in building no follow links. Matt Cutts also confirms that no follow links are dropped from a domains link graph onces crawled in this video.
Does it start around the 12/13th December? There was an update to the Google algo around then. One of my sites had its traffic cut in half from it another two are down about 20%.
Although I don't have an example to hand, I have seen a few EMD's ranking top three for their keyword within the past few month so there still seems to be ways to do it.
IMO using an EMD would not get you a penalty, Google just turned down the effect using an EMD had on your SERP in their algo.
Not 100% sure what you mean. If you mean links to your site for people to click in the SERP then there are a whole bunch of variables involved. Its probably a good idea for you to make a bunch of test sites and see how they get on.
I have never known social media engagements to ever have any effect on SERP possitions. Most forums set their OBLs to no follow so are also useless and I would imagine link exchanges can still work provided you make sure you use good sites.
Personally I am currently using PBNs and web 2.0s with...
Theres an article on wikipedia that should be able to explain it to you. I have also noticed a trend recently with people calling what I would call secondary keywords LSI terms.
It totally depends on the time frame you are looking at. Back in the day it was pretty common for me to blast an amazon.com parasite to the top three within two month or so but it seems those days are long gone now. The analytics screenshots for my two new sites are below to show the kind of...
I'm pretty sure it is possible to rank page in the top three of Google while meeting what the Yoast plugin says is good on page SEO but I am curious, have you personally ever ranked a page in the top three of Google while having all of the Yoast suggestions green or at least 75% of them?
Just out of curiosity have you ever actually tried the tool and experience this harm and deindexation you mention first hand?
@OP, Personally I think GSA SER is the best automated backlink tool out there right now. Its main problem is the vast majority of people dont take the time to learn how...
In my oppinion the best settings for Yoast is to delete it from your website, it is a totally and complete waste of your time. It over optimises on key phrases, its reading score is useless, it can easily miss keyword uses and lead to further over optimisation.
I have coached a fair few people...
I have a lengthy process but to me its worth it.
Basically I scrape millions of URLs with scrapebox then I run them through SER, the ones that verify and are do follow I keep and reuse on my live projects. Thats the basics behind it.
Social media backlinks are a waste of time in my experiance and testing they do nothing, there is also no confirmation from Google that they are factored into their algo. You maybe just building backlinks that are too weak for the competition of the keyword you are trying to rank.
