    How many products

What if you plan to sell merchandise for a specific television show? Would the merchandise in and of itself count as the product, or would I actually have to narrow my focus to just 1 to 3 max products of the entire merchandise repertoire?

    Finding the elusive Do-Follow

I've been combining acquiring do-follow blogs along with ezine article writing and getting backlinks from there. It seems to be working out well for me so far (knocks on wood). Over the last week I've seen my site jump from page 20 on the search results for my keyword all the way to 7 and...

Just want to thank this forum...

Well, I was struggling early on with my blog to rank for the keyword I've been competing in, and thanks to the advice of some of the folk here I'm not only ranking, but my site is hopping spots left and right. Just yesterday I was #175 and today I've been bumped up to #120. I've already done...

    Finding the elusive Do-Follow

Yes, that makes sense. But search engine traffic is the most steady and consistent, and I've yet to rank at ALL for my main keyword, so it's just a tad frustrating. I suppose for now going to active forums will be a good way to get some traffic though, but there has to be some way to rank for...

    Finding the elusive Do-Follow

Well, I've been having trouble ranking for my main keyword and I finally realized what the issue is. The backlinks that I have acquired since I created my site turned out to be no-follow. I've been checking several blog directories for "do-follow" and it always turns out that these sites are no...

    Difficulty ranking for a keyword.

Interesting. So, how come the 411 is more detrimental when combined with the show's name than if I combine "Name of the Show" Information in the anchor text?

    Difficulty ranking for a keyword.

Well, with a normal keyword search it's around 28.9 million results. With allintitle it's roughly 500,000. My anchor texts ALWAYS have the name of the show + 411 in it.

    Difficulty ranking for a keyword.

I've actually been optimizing for the name of the show AND the domain as well. The domain name IS the name of the show + 411. Every blog post I have is keyword dense, hence it mentions the name of that show in particular quite often, but it seems like I can't rank for it... that's the...

    Difficulty ranking for a keyword.

Well, in the interest of not giving too much away, my niche site is about a television series. The domain name is (television series) 411.com and I've the blog has been officially done since February 4th. Over the course of a week, my ranking for the keyword (television series) 411 went from #30...

    Adsense between posts?

I've heard this is a recommended strategy to optimize earnings. I've read some of the how-to guides on setting it up, but the issue i'm having is that they require i find a string of code and I don't have any such thing in my index.php Here's the code: <php if (have _posts ()) : ? > What...

So would I stick that code inside Wordpress' Title Page?

Image header in place of text title?

I'm using Wordpress to create my first blog. I'm very nitpicky about the aesthetics of the site, and an issue i'm having is that the font I have in the theme I installed doesn't look too appealing. Also, I have an image in my header. So right now, I have the title of the site written on top of...

    Monetizing News Niche?

Interesting points. Now, let's say I take all of that into consideration. What if I can optimize my site for a few select long-tail keywords that are laser targeted toward purchases? For example: New York Giants t-shirt, New York Giants poster, New York Giants fat-head, etc. If my domain is...

    Monetizing News Niche?

One more thing, and I'm going to revert back to my parallel scenario. I came across two "teams", and one of them currently has a keyword that averages 300,000 searches a month (exact) and very low competition level--it's a relatively new team. There's another team that hasn't yet been formed...

    Monetizing News Niche?

Let's call it Sports News/Game Reviews. I'll focus in on placing articles, keeping sports fanatics up to date on things going on in that category. I don't mean specifically just talk about the games, but I mean Hot Buzz newsworthy stuff like scandals, big trades, etc. When the traffic has built...

    Monetizing News Niche?

See, this is what has been getting so confusing for me. Many people on this forum have said things along the lines of how important it is to build up your content--to drive traffic--before you actually start writing about products, etc. Essentially, it's necessary not just to drive traffic, but...

    Monetizing News Niche?

I can't really give away anything, but one of the niches i'm considering to start with revolves around news on a certain industry. Has anybody here already done this or something similar? If you have or even if you haven't, could a news site--in your opinion or from your knowledge--be...
