would you consider a website that has been enjoying authority rankings on Page 1 suddenly dropped to pages 2 and 3 "hit"?
Im not sure if I should worry, but Im reinventing things on my site
and as always, the bottom line of all algorithm updates --> Content is still king.
and technique is Queen!
Google updates are actually a good thing. It keeps the competition healthy and fair.
My four best friends in all things "inline marketing" are SearchEngineJournal, Mashable, SEOBook and ProBlogger (for blogging tips)
its always best to understand how others are doing it, so I can benchmark
compete in a healthy manner and you will appreciate your results with a peace of heart...if you really want to track your competition, then check what their backlinks are and see what's working for their sites...then benchmark
no need to use the word "destroy"
My rankings dropped these past few weeks and I heard of over optimization penalty, but my sites have good and valuable content, not sure why they were hit. Thank for shedding some light on this issue, good read!
Thanks for the insights. Yeah as I search I can see a LOT of bead websites that are already Gorillas in the market. I have to think things through (again)
Thanks
Hi everyone and Happy Chinese New Year to all Chinese members out here. I recently have a new hobby which is beadmaking (bracelets). Is it a good niche say I create How To tutorials on video, put up a site, talk about crafts and beads, market related affiliate products and then eventually sell...
Im quite new to aff marketing and I appreciate what you mentioned here to not go for products that have high commissions. Its not easy picking products so I guess Ill have to do a lot more research about best niches and best aff mktg practices
