I would avoid free hosting. Downtime is more frequent and you don't want to be off the air for too long. Some could be down for more than 24 hours.
Hostgator is a good hosting company.

$97 is only for a single website, which I think it is quite steep. But it is a great tool for reducing the amount of time to put up a site. For me, I will give it a miss for now as I still love those fancy ones.
Wow, thank for the list of article directories. Does it take long to submit the articles to all these directories. Thought I came across a software that can submit to all the directories. Are they any good?
