How do you do link exchanges?

I've been researching on how to do link exchanges since its a way also to gain more traffic. so anyone knows how to do it? your replies are much appreciated. thanks!

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted.
