    A simple google search of the product/service you want to promote and then contacting the results is one way many affiliates are recruited. Posting on forums, link exchange, and SEO are all methods as well. There are many more but these would be where most people start.:)

    Networking on social bookmarking sites, and using their IM features in particular, are powerful ways to reach out and touch somebody. Article marketing along with posting to related niche blogs with do-follow links are good for both exposure and SEO.:)
