Does it matter to you if your web pages pass HTML or CSS validation? What sort of validation errors do you let slide?
Sometimes CMS or other 3rd party plugins will generate invalid HTML that can't be helped, but what about stuff you've written?
A few years ago, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) was one of the most popular versions despite its age. Is that still the case? Is writing native apps that work on older versions a lot of extra work?
Most professional designers do not participate in design contests (ie. "spec work" or "speculative work") for 2 main reasons:
Only one person who participates will get paid, meaning everyone else is producing work for free
The contest organizer is less likely to get what they're looking for...
