It can't be a rule, but if you have quality content there is big possibility that you have organic traffic. But you have to do a lot of things to have organic visitors, because organic traffic means visitor from search engines and peoples who search in search engines are looking to top results...
The spiders have absolutely no problem reading PHP as after all it is just a bit of scripting. The problems come when you make the pages unspiderable with lots of dynamic query strings in the URL.
