Positioning in Google Maps for Business

Hi all. I'm looking for some advice (maybe a point in the right direction) on information to get in the top A-J of the Google maps when you type in "birmingham web design". Is it to do with back links or page rank? Thanks Darren

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted.
