Number 1 choice will be SiteGroud. No doubt about it. But if you have a very huge traffic I prefer DO base on experiences it truly works a worth it, but don't have cPanel. Still DreamHost is one of the good choice as well.
It has been announced by Google last August 2014, that they will started to rank https websites slightly better than http websites within their search algorithm. But still better SEO will do the job for sure. Https is advisable to make your website safety and to be more trusted.
