Affiliate tracking for app download

I have an in house affiliate program for websites and now i want to extend it for apps as well. I am not sure how to track a download in apple store if a customer clicks on my publisher's banner in the website or within a publishers app. Has anyone done this before? D

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted.
