web site down for 1 day and traffic down ?

well I've been running few web sites and recently noticed that my hosting company did some updates due to that my site went down for almost 1 day and same day google crawled my site and now in google web master tool i can see more than 100 pages time outed. what can i do to fix it asap as this...

I am running my own blog and have noticed that i get mostly spams which are protected by askinet plugin and I am just wondering why most of the comments are spam and not worthy comments?
