If something happens to me then my sites will simply wither and die as I am a one-man operation. I think this is a good thing as I don't want other people taking over and publishing things that I might not agree with.
Personally I would build links with the following methods:
- blog commenting
- Guest posting
- Forum posting
- Article submission directories
- web directories
Obviously I would suggestion only working with sites that are linked to the same niche as your site, not much point building links...
I was against Bubblews for a while, but I signed up a couple of months ago and I submitted about twenty articles and then just forgot about them and I have made nearly $8, not bad when you consider that each article took me about a minute to do. :)
I signed up using my Facebook ID and they said they were going to look through my music Likes on Facebook, been seven months now and I'm still waiting for them to finish looking through it.
I did that in the beginning, then I would check once a week and would always get the same message, my list on Facebook isn't massive and it has a nice mix of genres, so I'm not sure why they are taking so long. I have emailed them countless times and have never received a single reply back.
I won't actively be seeking out opportunities from this site anymore, but I'll keep my account just in case they send some songs my way, I might come across a decent band or two. :)
My fiance is, she can't go five minutes without checking her account. I was upset once over the death of my nan and she cuddled me to console me and I could hear her tapping away on her phone as she was checking her account over my shoulder.
Personally I have found Facebook to be an unwanted...
I signed up about six months ago and I'm still waiting for them to "analyse the music" that I have liked on my Facebook account. Waste of time in my opinion.
I don't have any biological children, but I do have three stepchildren with my fiance, they are all adults though. One of them has a five-year old boy so I get to do a father/grandad thing with him as his father is not interested in him. :)
I have to be honest I admit that I'm not nearly as organised as I would like to be. I try to get myself into a schedule, but when you have ADHD (hard to concentrate or follow routines) and a disabled father to care for, it can be hard to stick to one.
I get a lot more success from Twitter than I do with Facebook. It is worth pointing out that I don't spend any money advertising on social media sites. People on Twitter seem much more open to sharing my articles then people on Facebook.
I don't think you should put a limit on how much traffic you want, I think you should have a goal and then when you hit that goal you should set a higher one, never be satisfied with what you have. :)
The beginning of your post is misleading, they are not only charging low income familes, they are charging ANYONE who has a council property. A lot of people are not understanding why they are doing this, it is to help with the housing crisis we have in this country.
If you have a spare...
My favourite SEO tool is a plugin called WordPress SEO by Yoast. I love this plugin because it has helped improve my SEO tenfold and I didn't have to waste time doing anything. I just installed it, activated it, made a few edits, and then let it do its thing. :)
I use the following methods to generate not only traffic, but backlinks as well:
- Blog commenting
- Guest posting
- Forum posting
- Article directories
- Web site directories
- Facebook, Twitter & Google+
I hope they help. :)
The only thing I have come up with is to put the word around as many forums and sites as possible so that as many people as possible find out about the scammy sites, it isn't perfect, but it is better than nothing. :)
My only gripe about them is that the ad units only display text ads. The other day somebody click an ad on one of my smaller blogs and I was paid $5.96 for it. They do reply to support emails with an actual person, unlike Adsense who send automated replies. I'd try again. :)
