Oh, I almost forgot.... when trying to think of a good domain, NEVER shy away from hyphenated domains... they actually work much better in search engine rankings than non-hyphenated ones, i.e., really-great-gadgets.com or something to that effect.... this is waaay more helpful than meta-tags...

Here's one tip for n00b affiliate marketers, (old hat to vets).... make sure to add target="blank" to all of your affiliate links. That way your site will stay open, and the affiliate link opens in a new window.
Yes, eBook Edit Pro is definitely the best software for authoring ebooks. There are others out there, but if you want the easiest and the best, that's the one. Stay away from the "free" ones that make .chm (Windoze "help") files especially.
WordPress is ok if you want to start a simple personal blog or online journal... but without expensive (as mentioned above, or hard-to-find) add-ons, it's a little difficult for newbies to moderate webmasters to utilize in an effective way.
