I'm in two minds about that.
Most people there are promoting, either directly or indirectly. So promotion is part of the game.
There is no 'rules' of social etiquette on twitter it seems - yes there are unwritten rules that each may bring to the situation but nothing more then that. The basic...
I've applied before. Got turned down because my grammar was poor. To be fair my grammar is poor, but the category I applied for was in such a mess that I'd of cleaned it up nicely.
Much of it is outdated, plain wrong and repeating old myths. Or even perhaps deliberately misleading of others.
There is no short answer. If you can, do lots of testing and checking yourself. Find knowledgeable people that you can trust. If possible go work at google! *haha*
How would you define 'social media'? If it's a people focused definition then I don't agree it will fizzle out. People are the heart of the internet and it will continue to be that way.

If your in the UK the cost of UK hosting is better now(as $$ is worse exchange then before) and with the server in the UK you will most likely have faster surfing response to your customers. That will also improve your Google...
Can you supply more information. Do you have important links(Like dmoz) to your .com that you can't change?
One improvement is to change the .com to geolocation UK in the Google webmaster tools, that will certainly make an improvement on the current setup. However it might not be the best as...
