I tried that, and actually read in another forum that MSN has taken down their link search feature. Possibly could find another tool to do it, but will just keep dropping links and see what develops I suppose.
Thanks as always.
Thanks Linda,
I did the link check on Yahoo and it shows 16 inbound links for the same site that Google shows none for. Can you tell me the back link code to check in MSN?
thanks again.
O.K. I'm pretty much a noob at SEO, but as an experienced PPC affiliate I'm finding more and more that my sites need to be aggressively SEO optimized in order to get the most out of my PPC efforts so a couple of questions;
1. I have been submitting video related to my site subject matter...
Hi Linda,
Great info. I'm crossing over to the dark side :-) and doing some SEO now on my sites as the Great Google really does want better quality sites in adwords campaigns. I asked this before, but can't find it now. what is the search in Google to locate your backlinks...
be careful
Some traffic sources are not allowed by a lot of affiliate networks and can get you bounced out without any payment.
Linda, I once had a problem with adbrite because they sent me traffic from ads on adult and pornographic sites. They didn't disclose that clearly to me up front...
I think I've let this cat out of the bag before, but if you want to find a cool new niche, one strategy is to look up the convention center in your nearest metropolitan area and get a schedule of events for the next few months.
What you will find are lists of conventions and conferences where...
If you want to set up your own product and promote it to affiliates to market it for you, you'll need to invest in a tracking program like; directtrack or hitpath. A few thousand dollars to get up and running, but most affiliates are going to ask who you use for tracking if they are not...
I would add that even in hot niches, a great way to keep your campaign from dying is to keep nurturing it. If you are not continually optimizing and switching out ad copy and trying new keywords and bidding strategies, then of course your campaign will die. Bill Gates once said that if...
Hmmmnnnn
Hmmmnnnn??? I agree that affiliate marketing is important and I happen to have made a very good living at it over the past few years, however I think from the business perspective you post requires a little cleaning up.
1) It is every merchant's wish to have his products reach as...
Tyler,
If you are planning on building a review site and driving traffic to it using PPC, then It sounds like a good domain name. Review sites hold some favor with the search engines and Google especially. If put together properly, they will lower your PPC cost and be an interesting URL to...
affiliate programs for physical products
On many physical web sites you can look down at the bottom of the page in the fine print and actually find a link for affiliates which is sometimes run internally or sometimes run through an affiliate network. Linkshare.com is also another big company...
CB vs. Others
My experience has been that Clickbank is just about like any other product, service or lead gen vertical in PPC marketing in that you are going to probably hit one winner for every 4 or 5 losers. I've been doing PPC affiliate marketing very successfully for a few years now and I...
Linda,
Of course you're right, when it comes to a newbie and just starting out simple is much better. My bad for getting carried away on this one. I know James as well and with organic traffic maybe multiple pages is better than multiple URL's, but in PPC one arbitrary site slap can put you...
My experience has been that you get better link juice from independent site to independent site moreso than linking pages within the same domain. Say if one of the categories, (say hockey) took off and got some nice traffic and good inbound links and some ranking, then by linking that page to...
