If you want to spend money then look at Xenforo, that's what this forum uses. It's about $130 if I remember correctly. If you want a free solution then look at PHPBB. I would definitely invest in Xenforo if this is a serious project.
I think the best link building is to contact other blogs/companies in the same field and share links. The thing is, it can be difficult to find that match. I use comment links, but I know Google likes them less and they can sometimes look spammy even if relevant.
It doesn't help with directly with ranking IMO, it just helps with CTR. But I do think increased CTR overtime can increase rankings. So I guess you could say it can increase ranking.
Yeah i fully agree, yet when people look for stats on a website, Alexa is one of the first to come up. I think Alexa will get bigger, I just wish the toolbar was built into browsers or something.
Hopefully not, I'm a G00gle fan boy. I love all of their products and when I've had to search on Bing it hasn't given me the best results. I do like Microsoft so it's nothing against them, it's just I'm more than happy with Google and I think they are and will remain the leaders in web search...
Yeah it's strange, because it's such an unfair system, yet everyone I know uses it to judge a website. I'm trying to get a good rank on it just for a personal experiment, but I guess I should focus more on link building and real SEO.
I think they are required for SEO. As mentioned they make a page nicer for the reader. What was Google's recent changes about? Making SEO that is natural and benefits the reader (ie not spammed keyword links, but "click here" is better) and I think having images is natural on a web site and...
We've been watching our performance on Alexa for a while and recently it's got a lot better. Who else here uses Alexa and what do you think of it? Does anyone pay for the full membership?
I think Alexa, PR and MozRank are pretty good ways to track your performance but I guess like anything...
Agree with jaydepp, Starbucks has something about it that makes it taste extra nice! I've tried Costa, Nero and a few others and they are alright. Recently I've just bought a coffee set/jug so I can use the ground coffee powder at home. It's an absolute minefield trying to buy a brand of ground...
