Honestly, even if you have a .net address, I think alot of people will automatically type in .com just out of habit.
If you use 100% online ads, and just link to your site, no worries.
but offline marketing i think .com is much much better.

I'm not sure where to post this thread, if it needs moved, the admin has my permission.
I want more banner ads, but don't want to pay for them. I already found mybannermaker.com for free ads, which works fine, but are there more sites out there??
are there programs I can download to...
Welcome to China!

1) because it's easier to email people on the other side of the Earth than to talk to them on the phone....
2) I am the King
3) there is no such thing as fear - it's an illusion of a deluded human mind

I have both, so I love them both. Blogger lets you edit the html, which is very cool, but very technical (i.e. you have to know what to do)
Wordpress has awesome cover pages, but you can't really edit the "basics" of it (at least I can't)
I ususally switch-hit between the two, am using...
Do you know why??
Because Wordpress is FREE and TypePad is not..
Free kicks arse over not-free any day in my book!
I really love wordpress has "cover pages" too - really works well for what i do

Have you thought about Squidoo.com?? I know I talk about that alot, but it's sooo easy to just dive in - almost like a website with training wheels....
and you can make an unlimited amount of lenses about unlimited amount of topics
I've never used a Yahoo builder - but if its' free, I'll...
I always think for a 100% newbie that you join an already pre-exisiting business, like an affiliate program, rather than just try to start a brand new one.
I think a blog is a real good start, also try Squidoo.com, they make it really, really, really easy to start talking about things online...
Always nice see a fellow Keystoner around...where in PA are you? I'm outside Harrisburg (actually called Lemoyne, but nobody ever knows where that is...)

Here's a story for you....
LAst year, some guy here in Central Pennsylvania found and took in a stray tabby cat.....
about a week later, a fire started in his house (electrical, i think) while he was sleeping on his couch, and he had no idea...
this stray cat - who a week earlier was...
I'm called "greenflash" in virtually every forum I've ever been in, and i'm shocked AND crushed when someone else uses it - how do they know to use that obscure of a word??
but I also use 'greenflash808' when that's the case - but it still irks me, so I know the feeling.....
that jsut...

I used to use Craigslist and it ROCKED!! But very recently, they have changed the rules in there, and now it is EXTREMELY difficult to use CL properly (i.e. non-spammingly), so I don't recommend it anymore.
but if you can think of a strategy, I'm all ears!!
