Sounds like you are getting spammed, its quite common on craigslist these days. He is not emailing you about your post, but most likely a canned response sent to thousands of craigslist users at a time. don't get discouraged by those.- ggoose

Viral email marketing
One Idea could be, post like 5 or 6 funny or "cute" pictures, and at the bottom of the email you could put a link to your site with the text "More Pictures here". the site could have more pictures / advertisements.- ggoose
