    I can say I am unsure if you can get rid of it. It looks like Google was testing it a few weeks back, as some results is was there and others is weren't. Looks like it is permanent now, as it shows up all the time for me.

    You can get indexed with 1 page of content. If you have 100s of pages and not 1 backlink/submit site to the search engines, then you will not get indexed.

    It is ok using do-follow blogs but people tend to spam the hell out of them and ruin it for everyone else, it also helps if the blog is related to your site.
