Agree completely here. All my C/C++ programming thus far has been on a Linux box. Windows libraries are very, very nasty to deal with in C++.
Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the package managers in Linux? Do you think they do an adequate job of cross-platform software compatibility?
First of all, make sure your site is mobile-responsive. If it is not responsive, it's very likely you will never rank (not even 2nd page). Make sure you are optimizing your site for mobile first.
