I read the last sentence of your post, but if you can please make it even more clear to me: There is no point in asking brands and websites for permission to use images? Nobody does that?

Can we use products images from merchants' websites on our social media and websites? They quickly answered
that is not up to them but up to merchants, and that they (merchants)...
